WESTHILLS MANDARIN CHURCH SERVICE

I have some exciting news to share with you! Last Sunday at our Westhills site we prayed for and commissioned six people who will be on the leadership team for a brand new RockPointe ministry. Starting this weekend, at the same time that our Westhills family will be worshipping together in the gym at Ambrose University, upstairs in one of the Ambrose classrooms we’ll be having our first Mandarin church service. The people who will be leading this Mandarin ministry are from our Westhills site, and something that’s so beautiful about this new ministry is it will be completely lay-led. The goal of our Mandarin ministry is to reach out to Mandarin speaking people in SW Calgary and give them a place where they can worship and be discipled in their native language. Any children who come will be invited to be part of our Westhills children’s ministry and any youth that come can attend either the Mandarin service or the Westhills service.

Our Mandarin leadership team is also very aware that there are many Mandarin speaking people in our part of the city who don’t yet know Jesus. Their vision for this ministry is that it will become a door through which unreached people can enter and become part of Christ’s body here at RockPointe. As a RockPointe family we have the vision of doubling our reach by 2030 and it’s new ministries like this that will help us to do that. Please pray that many will come to know Jesus through our new Mandarin ministry.
