UPDATES & ENCOURAGEMENT FROM RYAN

Ryan Brammer, Pastor of Ministry Support

Hey family!

As we walk through Exodus together, I have been struck by three things so evident in the story of God's people

  • God's voice & leading

  • The people's response & obedience

  • The complexity, challenge and change that comes alongside these two things!

It is no different for us as individuals, families or a body of believers. Change is always a present reality, but if it is God led, we have reason to celebrate and rejoice!

If you were at RPC services this past weekend, you heard about a few of these things. Here's a catch up in case you missed it:

  1. RockPointe will be hosting our Lead Site Pastor candidating weekend March 2 & 3. We are excited to be at this stage of the search process. Details on exactly what this looks like and who the candidate is, is coming soon.

  2. Phil & Kjerstie Morrow have been discerning a call to a very specific role at Cochrane Alliance. Part of this process is a candidating weekend February 4. It has been encouraging to walk alongside the Morrow's in their listening to God and their discernment. Although it's always a tough thing to say goodbye to people we value and love, it's also exciting to see the story God is weaving in their lives. Be praying for the Morrow's as they take next steps. Phil was at Bearspaw this past weekend and will be at the Westhills & Bowridge services later in February to talk about their journey. We will also have the chance to celebrate the Morrow's and bless them in their next steps in the weeks to come - details to come.

Heads up - We will be carving out a few minutes to talk about our finances as a church at the February 10 & 11 at services and in the newsletter. It will be good to give greater detail on our current Ministry Fund status, our giving projections, our reduced expenditures and expenditure projections, along with how we will be taking steps forward. We will also be passing the plate that weekend, which is always a great symbol of giving as an act of worship in community!

One final thought from Exodus - No matter the change, the complexity, the terrain, the challenge, the victories, or the hardship, the people of God went together. I am encouraged today as I think about this. What an interesting world we live in, an interesting time with unique challenges. The fact that we go together into the future, trusting God, listening to His voice, and obeying His word is a strength that we ought not forget!

Thankful for you all today RockPointe, and praying this over you all

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
